Have you ever wondered what your favorite dining hall really is? How often do you actually make it out of bed for breakfast before that 9 a.m. class? Just how many snacks do you grab from Josiah’s on Saturday nights? The Herald’s data desk has set out to help you answer these questions and more.

You can follow the instructions below to download your dining swipe data, and upload it to see your dining statistics. If you would like, you can also choose to share your data with The Herald for future analysis. Your data is anonymous, and we will only analyze and publish data in aggregate.

Instructions:


1. Go to the “Account Activity” page of your Meal and Bear Bucks Online Portal.

2. Select your meal plan (e.g. “20 Weekly Meals” or “Flex 460”) under “Account.”

3. Select “View last 6 months” under “Statement Period.”

4. Click the yellow “View Statement” button to retrieve your swipe history.

5. Click the gray “CSV” button in the top right corner of the page.

6. Go back to the “Account Activity” page of your Meal and Bear Bucks Online Portal.

7. Select “Flex Points.”

8. Select “View last 6 months” under “Statement Period.”

9. Click the yellow “View Statement” button to retrieve your swipe history.

10. Click the gray “CSV” button in the top right corner of the page.

11. Navigate back to this page and click “Upload Meal Plan CSV.” Upload your downloaded meal plan CSV. Click “Upload Flex Point CSV.” Upload your downloaded flex point CSV.

12. Click “Process data” to view your stats.
